One of the best things to do in Camden Town in London is to admire the abundance of street art. But it can be a mission trying to find them all. This guide will show you all the places where you can find Camden street art, detailing each street, including where to find the Amy Winehouse murals!
Keep in mind that the street art in Camden changes every so often. So the street art you see in this guide may have changed or been painted over with new art when you visit. But the locations of where you can find street art in Camden will always remain the same!

How to Get to Camden Town
By London Underground (The Tube)
The closest stations to Camden are Camden Town Underground Station, Camden Road Overground Station and Mornington Crescent Underground Station. The Underground stations are only accessible via the Northern Line.
If you’re not sure how to access the Northern Line to get to any of these stations in Camden, I would highly recommend planning your journey on the TFL Go or Citymapper apps!

By Bus
The bus routes that go to Camden Town are 1, 24, 27, 29, 31, 46, 88, 134, 214, 253, 274, 393. But again, if you’re not sure what bus route to take, download the TFL Go or Citymapper app to find the best bus route from where you are!
Where to Find Camden Street Art
Rousden Street
The first stop on this Camden Street Art guide is on Rousden Street. Camden is known for its quirky and alternative scene, so there are a couple of skate shops that you’ll come across on your visit. One skate shop across the road from Camden Road Overground Station is the Three Amigos, which opened in 2009. On the side wall of this skate shop, on Rousden Street, is a mural by cig.thief, which was added for the Three Amigos in 2023. I really like this style of street art with the outlines and bold colours! It perfectly suits the skate shop!
Ivor Street
Have you ever watched The Simpsons? If so, you’ll love this mural on Ivor Street! Just 3 minutes away from Camden Road Overground Station, you’ll find the Simpsons coach. This coach is well known to anyone who grew up watching (or still watches) The Simpsons. It’s featured in the title sequence of every Simpsons episode, making it an iconic scene in the animation world.
This piece was painted by Stephan Gonzalez in 2022 on the side of a pub called the Old Eagle. And best of all, this mural is interactive! One end of the couch has a seat that is right behind an electrical box. This box was painted as part of the mural so you can climb up and sit on it as if you’re part of the Simpson’s title sequence!
Hawley Road
On Hawley Road is a street art mural of a spray can shooting flames by Irony, which was added in 2014. Irony is an anonymous street artist, but their art style is very distinct. They’re known for their photorealistic style, with flames being a recurring theme.
Irony’s street art is also spotted across the UK, including Bristol, Northern Ireland and Gloucestershire. This isn’t Irony’s only artwork in Camden, too. You’ll see in this Camden Street Art guide that they have another mural in the area!
Castlehaven Road
If you continue walking up Hawley Road, you’ll get to Castlehaven Road. On this road, there’s a green space called Castlehaven Community Park. Next to this green space is the Castlehaven Open Space, which has a sports pitch and changing room building. On the wall of this building, you’ll find a mural with piano keys above a sunrise in the middle and outstretched hands on each side. The artist of this mural and their inspiration for it are unknown, but I can bet that this mural is entirely dedicated to the local community, which I think is really sweet!
As you carry on walking down Castlehaven Road, on the side of the bridge, you’ll see more pieces of street art, including a portrait of 2 kids with graduation hats and a portrait of a baby with a heart next to it, both by Carleen De Sözer. She is widely known as one of London’s most skilled and diverse aerosol and airbrush artists, and I can definitely see why!
When you walk under the bridge, you’ll find an unusual mural. This is a collaboration mural by South American artists, Onesto (aka Alex Hornest) and Mart Aire.
Next, walk up towards the end of the street where Castlehaven Road meets Chalk Farm Road (and where the Camden Lock Bridge is). On the way, you’ll see street art on the left by various artists. One section of the wall includes a quote above a typewriter, reading “I believe in you. So that makes two of us” by WRDSMTH. Next to this is a piece of abstract faces by Anna Laurini.
The Banksy-esque piece of a child raising their right arm is actually by Dotmaster. The piece was originally a child spraying a heart on the wall, but the heart has been covered up by other street art. You’ll find a noticeable cartoon character on the left of Dotmaster’s piece, Brian Griffin from Family Guy, holding a martini glass. This piece was added by Angus, an artist from Bristol, known for creating ceramic tile art. This was done over a piece by Dzia, a Belgian muralist, of a blue pigeon.
Across the road, you’ll see a pub, The Hawley Arms. This pub is known to be where Amy Winehouse worked as a barmaid and regularly hung out. If you walk behind the pub, you’ll see a huge mural of Amy Winehouse by JXC on the wall.
Amy Winehouse was Camden’s sweetheart, an amazing singer with a unique sound who made Camden her home from 2003 until her passing. You’ll find a lot of murals dedicated to her in Camden, which you’ll see throughout this Camden Street Art guide.
Hawley Street + Hawley Mews
Next, walk up Chalk Farm Road, past the Camden Market Stables and turn right on Hawley Street. You’ll find a row of street art including an Amy Winehouse mural by Otto Schade and a rhino, tiger, and 2 birds.
There’s also a piece by Damitta of a girl with heart glasses on the wall where the Hawley Street sign is.
If you turn on that corner, you’ll stumble across Hawley Mews, an alleyway with a row of street art. On the right is a mural by Spanish street artist Elno, which was added in 2023. On the left are various pieces by artists such as Aspire and FLOP (aka Fábio Panone Lopes) and Pode.
I really love the Amy Winehouse mural here too! It’s such a shame that the artist is unknown!
Harmood Street
When you go back to Camden High Street and carry on walking up, turn right onto Harmood Street. Here you’ll find 2 murals by Irony, one on the side wall of The Lock Tavern and one across the road, next to a piece called Rude Kids by Dotmaster.
Next to Irony’s piece by The Lock Tavern is a piece by Nathan Bowen, a guerrilla street artist.
When you walk further up the road, you’ll find a colourful mural by Brazilian street artist, Plim!
Camden High Street
Next, head down Camden High Street towards Camden Underground station. You’ll see tons of street art on the shop fronts, including a Dr Martens mural and art above IZIPIZI, Ray-Ban and Namaste.
Buck Street
Buck Street is right next to where the old Camden Market used to be, now called Camden Market Buck Street. Here you’ll find a piece of street art on the wall in between Nemesis Tattoo & Body Piercing Studio and the Bucks Head. This colourful, tropical piece was added by Aeorarts in 2021!
Stucley Place
If you carry on walking down Buck Street and turn left onto Stucley Place, you’ll find another colourful piece by West London artist Arthur. This was done for Camden Open Air Gallery!
Kentish Town Road
Next, head back to Buck Street and carry on walking down to Kentish Town Road. Next to Trinity United Reformed Church, you’ll find a piece called “Electra Lava Love” by SR. X (which I assume is inspired by comic book art) and a portrait by Ant Carver.
Camden Road
On Camden Road, opposite Sainsbury’s, you’ll find an Amy Winehouse mural right by the bus stop. This piece, called Amy Jade, was done in 2011 by Bambi, an unknown street artist. Amy Jade is the piece that gained Bambi some attention, and they also have another mural dedicated to the late singer on Pratt Street!
Earl of Camden
If you go back to Camden Town Underground station and turn onto the road where Jazz Cafe and the Odeon are, carry on walking down. Eventually, you’ll stumble across the Earl of Camden pub. On the side of this pub, you’ll see another Amy Winehouse piece by Pegasus.
Greenland Street
If you walk down Camden High Street, towards Mornington Crescent, on the way you’ll see a road on the left called Greenland Street. Here, you’ll find a mural of a Mother and Child added by Ayo Blake in 2022. The colours used on this mural are beautiful, and I love that there’s a halo around the Mother, making her face and earrings stand out.
The creator of the image of the mural is Dola Posh, an artist and photographer whose works include portraits relating to motherhood. It’s a shame that part of the mural has been graffitied and painted over; however, the main subject, the faces of the mother and child, remain untouched as of March 2024.
Pratt Street
Another street off Camden High Street is Pratt Street, where you’ll find the other Amy Winehouse portrait by Bambi. This one was added in September 2013, in the lead-up to what would have been her 30th birthday.
Next to her is a portrait of Michael Dixon by mORGANICo. Dixon was a local hairdresser in Camden who was big in the gothic scene and unfortunately passed away in 2015 at 45 years old. A former girlfriend of his, Sandra May, requested the mural of Dixon, and it was added in 2017.
Bayham Street
Bayham Street is the road that meets with Pratt Street. On the wall next to the Greek Restaurant, Alexander the Great, you’ll see a mural by Italian artist Alice Pasquini!
Miller Street
Miller Street is a little alleyway off Camden High Street that features street art by JXC and a few unknown street artists!
Lidlington Place
The last piece of Camden Street Art in this guide is past Mornington Crescent Underground Station, on Lidlington Place, near Harrington Square Gardens. This is an Amy Winehouse mural by Mr Cenz, beautifully painted in purple and blue.
